2011-2012 Seaon Kicks off with a bang!

The Vols traveled to Liberty University this past weekend to begin the 2011-2012 season in SEC league play. A few changes to the conference worth noting, Virgina Tech has moved from Class A to AA, and Alabama plans to join the SEC in the early spring of 2012.

UT begins this season much the same as last season with a 2-2 record. The Vols bested Kennesaw State 2 times and fell to LU 2 times (scores/pictures still being updated).

Due to cold weather this will be the only event in the fall and the Vols will begin again in the early spring with 2 more conference events, all before Nationals in mid-April.

UTPB would like to thank our fans for their continued support. We will begin website migrations/renovations over the holidays as we prepare for 2012. Look for a new face, new media, and new coverage on all things Tennessee Paintball soon!!!

UT Paintball won its first ever National Championship this year in Lakeland, FL…. Stay tuned to UTPB as next week we will begin telling our story one day at a time! Vols win SEC again…

The Vols came out with a bang in the last SEC event of the regular season, after what seemed to be a rough start in 2010. In the first 2 events, the team went 4-2 and desperately needed a strong 3rd event showing to make it to nationals.

The players responded well and were able to finish first on the day, and first in the conference for the second year in a row with a 3-0 record (7-2 overall). The past two seasons have been the strongest in program history as the Vols have finished both seasons with SEC titles and an impressive combined regular season record of 15-3.

Next for the team is nationals, which will be in Lakeland FL April 15-17. The team will travel starting next Thursday to prepare for Friday’s matches. Due to the conference championship, the Vols will again enjoy an automatic bid into Saturday’s matches reguardless of the results of games played on Friday.

UTPB would like to thank all the support staff, family, friends, and fans for everything this season so far. Without your support the club wouldn’t be where it is today, and for that we say THANK YOU!!!

April Is almost here

With April just around the corner UT is gearing up for what will be the busiest part of the 2010-2011 season. The Vols recently practiced and Insane over the weekend and are now taking time off to enjoy spring break.

Once the team returns their schedule will fill up very quickly. In a span of less than 5 weeks, the Vols have 2 practices and 3 tournaments. The tournaments include an MiLP, SEC conference #3, followed by Nationals in mid-April.

8-10 members of UT Paintball’s squad will be at BearClaw paintball THIS weekend
(Feb 18-20) to help referee scenerio event #2 of the year. This event will be called “Red Dawn” and will again feature mutiple bases, dozens of objectives, and hundreds of players !!

UT will be selling brand-new 2011 club t-shirts at various stations around the event as well as in the main staging area. Please come see us for club info, merchandise, and anything else UTPB!

As reball begins this week at UT’s HPER gym the club has a lot to look forward to. Even though the spring semester has just begun, dates for SEC 3 and Nationals have already been set.

Conference Event 3 will be held in Early April (2nd) in Chattanooga, TN and Nationals will again be in Lakeland, FL during the dates of April 14-17. The club will begin preparation with reball and paint pactices, which will last until the second week in April.

The club is also excited to announce that it will be joining an amazing staff at Bearclaw Paintball once again for a scenario event on February 18-19. For more info on Bearclaw visit the link below, and keep checking the website for more updates on all things UTPB!!
